Admiral creating over 130 new jobs for its Newport office

South Wales based insurance specialist Admiral is recruiting for over 130 jobs in its Newport office, as well as a further 50 jobs in Cardiff and 100 in Swansea.

Admiral first came to Newport in 2008 and officially opened a brand new office called Admiral House in November last year. The new office is directly opposite the main train station, right in the middle of the city centre and currently houses over 680 staff. There are a number of departments in Newport and Admiral is looking to fill positions in the majority of these, including roles in Sales, Claims, Renewals and our law firm BDE Law.

BDE Law launched in May 2013 and is recruiting for various legal handlers with different expertise, including litigation.

The Renewals department is a very recent addition to Newport, previously only having a presence in Admiral’s Cardiff and Swansea offices. The recruitment drive has already begun here, with 18 new Renewals starters employed already, but there will be a further 60 jobs available in Newport Renewals in the coming months.

Admiral is also looking to fill roles in Cardiff and Swansea, based in Customer Services, New Business Sales, Outbound Sales, Renewals and Claims.

Head of People Services, Ceri Assiratti said, “We are regularly searching for talented people to join us and it is very exciting for us to be able to recruit so many people for our Newport office. But it doesn’t stop there! Always looking towards the future, we will be recruiting more staff in Newport as our company continues to grow, reinforcing our commitment to the city for the future.

“We have a huge variety of different jobs available that we know will appeal to a lot of people in the South Wales area. Whether you’ve had experience in legal claims handling or if you have never even worked in insurance before, we would love to hear from you.”

Admiral is the only Welsh-based company listed in the FTSE 100. It has been listed in the Sunday Times list of best 100 companies to work for 15 years running and is currently ranked 5th in the UK, as well as being named the 4th Best Large Workplace in the UK in the Great Place to Work Institute’s list of best workplaces.

Salaries for all of these jobs will vary, dependent on the role, but all new starters will receive over £3,000 worth of free shares in the company each year through the Group’s share scheme.
