Admiral helps Christian Lewis Trust help others
Staff at local employer Admiral have raised more than £2,500 in aid of the Christian Lewis Trust, Kids Cancer Charity.
Thanks to cake bakes, raffles, company match funding and a sponsored walk from Admiral's headquarters in Cardiff to their SA1 office, the staff raised £2,553.
Louise Darnell, from Admiral's Claims department said, "We picked Christian Lewis because they're based in Swansea, and we had heard about the excellent work they do supporting families who have been affected by cancer.
"When we visited their premises in Walters Road, we had a chance to see the play therapy room and to learn about respite holidays the Trust organise and contribute to. We saw how our money will help and it made all our efforts worthwhile."
Judith May, Head of Family Services at the charity said, "Christian Lewis Trust, Kids Cancer Charity is delighted to receive the support of such a high profile, locally based company like Admiral and its staff.
"The charity is entirely dependent on voluntary income and a donation of this size is a massive help in maintaining our services, particularly in these financially challenging times.
"It was a pleasure to meet with some of the Admiral team to be able to thank them in person and explain how the funds will be put to good use over the coming months to aid children and their families."
