John Helps Hammer Out Brain Tumours

Staff from across Admiral have raised over £2,500 for the charity, Hammer Out Brain Tumours which raises awareness of brain tumours and the needs of those affected by them.

Staff at Admiral's offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport wore bandanas for a day to show their support for colleague John Murray, from our Cardiff Sales office who is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumour. John had previously overcome the illness in 2004, however he was recently told that it had returned in a more aggressive form which has left him with limited treatment options.

John explained why he is raising money for the charity, "Instead of sitting down feeling sorry for myself, I want to help other people in my position and hopefully give them more options with funding for better research."

As well as wearing bandanas for the day, John's colleagues also held bake sales, took part in a sponsored run and are organising a charity football match between departments to raise even more money.
