Admiral Group sponsors many different organisations and events in the South Wales area and we do this for a number of reasons:

  • To support our local communities in South Wales of which we are part of
  • To recognise and celebrate the diversity of our communities
  • To support events our people might have an interest in
  • To reflect our vibrant, inclusive and fun culture
  • To raise our profile as a good employer within the community

Our current sponsorships portfolio includes:

We're proud of our partnership with Welsh Rugby which began in 2010, and Admiral is the Jersey Sponsor of the Welsh 7s Team, and the Welsh Under-20 and Under-18 Teams.

For us, it is more than having the Admiral name on a jersey; the main reason is because of our staff. They tell us how delighted they are to see Admiral associated with their heroes. Our partnership means our staff get some great benefits too, including visits to our offices by players, tours of Principality Stadium and the chance to train like a player with some pretty impressive coaches. The children of staff have even taken part in the Festival of Rugby.

Chapter is a multi-artform venue which includes theatre, cinema screens, an art gallery and cafe/bar. It is popular with Admiral staff who enjoy numerous benefits as part of our sponsorship, including cinema tickets, creative workshops and a discount at the centre.

We are delighted to team up with St David’s Hospice Care in Newport to sponsor the City of Newport Half Marathon.  It’s a fantastic event for the city of Newport and is popular with members of staff from Newport, Cardiff and Swansea.

As a car insurance provider we have a natural link to road safety and we teamed with the School Crossing Patrol Service in Cardiff Council to provide uniforms for school crossing officers and raise awareness of road safety in Cardiff, helping to keep children in the area safe when going to and from school.

Admiral has sponsored the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k since 2007. It is one of the UK’s premier road races with a flat, fast and scenic route alongside the magnificent views of Swansea Bay and is popular with our staff members, both beginners and experienced runners.

No Fit State is a contemporary circus combining live music, dance, stage design and film with traditional circus skills. As part of our sponsorship of No Fit State, performers come to our offices and events and teams can take part in team building circus skills workshops.

Techniquest is the UK’s longest established science centre, that offers interactive experiences mainly aimed at children. Admiral sponsors Techniquest’s After Hours evening events, which are aimed at young adults, making them popular with our staff. As part of this sponsorship our staff and their families can also enjoy Techniquest.

We're proud to be the main sponsor of Pride Cymru, Wales’ biggest annual celebration of equality and diversity. We have supported Price Cymru since 2000 and as main stage sponsor and primary partner. As part of the sponsorship, Admiral staff take part in the Pride parade and help as volunteers at the event, plus our Admiral Inspire Choir and an Admiral band perform on the main stage.

We've joined forces with Swansea Council to provide funding for new uniforms for the school crossing patrol workforce and help raise awareness of road safety, helping to keep children in the area safe when going to and from school.

Plantasia On the Road brings the rainforest zoo experience to local schools and communities. We're proud to help support the delivery of this educational outreach programme, which features workshops, animal handling and virtual tours. From 2021, we'll also be supporting Plantasia's Grow Your Imagination initiative, helping to drive forward conservation and environmental projects.

Our ongoing sponsorship of Disability Sport Wales (DSW) enables the charity to deliver the successful Admiral Play Together (APT) programme across schools in Wales. These sessions support and encourage young people to include all children in their play and cover a range of topics related to inclusive sport and disability. Despite a challenging 2020, with our help DSW was able to deliver APT to approximately 1500 children.
