Background and experience
Alistair Hargreaves was appointed CEO of UK Insurance in October 2024.
Alistair had been the Deputy CEO of the UK Insurance business since May 2022 with overall responsibility for key customer-facing functions, including Operations and Claims, and leading the product diversification strategy.
Alistair joined the Group in 2008 as a Senior Accountant and has held a range of senior management positions including UK Insurance Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for the management of the profit and loss of the motor insurance product.
Prior to joining Admiral, Alistair was Head of Funding at Picture Financial (a secured lending business) and prior to that Senior Internal Auditor at AXA. He started his career working in KPMG London, specialising in financial services clients. Alistair is a qualified accountant and has an Applied Mathematics degree from the University of Warwick.
Alistair is considered to be a “Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMR)” for the purposes of the Market Abuse Regulations.
